Hearthlands is designed to collect only what is needed to reply to a request or send a Chronicle confirmation.

Chronicle signups

If you choose to subscribe, the site keeps an encrypted email address and a keyed lookup marker so it can confirm or suppress that subscription. Confirmation links are one-time and expire. An unconfirmed signup is removed after 30 days. Unsubscribing removes the recoverable address and retains only the minimum suppression marker needed not to resubscribe it by mistake.

Contact

The Contact form sends your reply address, chosen category, and message through configured mail delivery. The site does not retain contact-message content in its database.

Children

Visitors under 13 should ask a parent or guardian to subscribe or contact Hearthlands. The site directs under-13 visitors away from direct submission.

Visits

We keep only daily totals for public pages. We do not use advertising trackers, visitor profiles, tracking cookies, or third-party fonts/scripts.
